RESUME

ClaudiaVelez is a musician from Mexico City, she plays the Double Bass, Violone andGuitar. Her musical career has been focusing mainly on the usage of theknowledge of the double bass technique and its history, on the creation and participationin innovative artistic projects which involves different art forms.
Currently Claudia is studying the last yearof Master in the Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag with Maggie Urquhart and she hasa bachelor diploma from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.
Claudia plays a Violone made by Harry Jansen from the Nationaal Muziekinstrumenten Fonds.
Claudia isco-founder of “Reflorecimiento Sentimental”, a multydisciplinary art project,and of the baroque ensemble “Polyhymnia”. In 2017 participated with the “GrachtenFestival” in Amsterdam. From 2013 - 2014 she played in principal position inthe Mexican Youth Orchestra "Carlos Chavez”.
Claudia ispassionate about music and art performing and about teaching, she is guestteacher in Master of Music at the Fontys Hogeschool voor de Kunsten.
